Julie is a Perioperative specialist, nurse executive with 30+ years of direct and supervisory patient care in an academic children’s hospital, ambulatory surgery centers, and community hospitals. She has extensive practice in strategic and operational planning, design initiatives and their relationship as transformative tools for healthcare delivery, Lean process improvement, workflow redesign, and decision support.
She is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt through the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers who can effectively communicate, organize, and guide clients across the spectrum of healthcare organizations. She holds certifications in nursing simulation, ambulatory surgery center administration, and global distance learning instructor. She was the leader of the Surgical and Interventional subject matter expertise team at a major design firm. She is best known for her excellent consultative skill set coupled with the ability to interact with and lead colleagues and professionals of all levels while developing innovative approaches in a way that fosters original thinking and effective results.
Julie received her associate’s degree in nursing from Indiana University, her bachelor’s degree from Colorado Technical University and her masters in management from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois.
