Lynn Aguilera, D.M., MSNEd, RN, PMP, EDAC
Executive Director, Strategic Space Planning & Transition Strategy, Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford
Lynn serves as the Executive Director of Strategic Space Planning and Transition Strategy at Stanford Medicine Children's Health, overseeing a multitude of hospital and off-campus projects. With almost 30 years of healthcare industry and patient care experience, Lynn understands a project from the clinical perspective which adds a unique value when discussing workflow, future operations, training, risks, mitigation plans, budget planning, space activations, patient experience, patient moves, and decommissioning. She is an enthusiastic and passionate leader who enjoys team building, interdisciplinary collaboration, mentoring, and managing change.
Lynn enjoys the complexity and collaboration needed to implement and sustain changes that ultimately provide high-quality and safe care to the patients who will be served by new healthcare facilities and spaces. She has led many transition and activation projects across North America and loves sharing industry knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned. Lynn’s other passion is teaching and spent many years as a hospital educator, a nursing instructor, and developing training programs for new hospital and space activations. Lynn completed her dissertation on the correlation of Electronic Health Records and Missed Nursing Care, presented at several national and international conferences, was the contributing author of two books, and published a journal article on Transition and Activation planning.
