NIHD is a proud Association Partner of Healthcare Design Conference + Expo (HCD)! Our members assist in the abstract review process, and we work together with HCD to curate a Clinical Perspectives Track, offering nursing continuing education.

The PDC Summit brings together thousands working in all disciplines of health care planning, design and construction to learn, network and discover ways to create value for the health care built environment.

The PDC Student Challenge is an exciting 48 hour event during ASHE's annual PDC Summit.
Graduate-level students from 5 different universities compete in a multi-disciplinary charette designed to stimulate critical inquiry, creativity and innovation! The teams consist of of future healthcare architects, engineers, construction managers and nurses. Under the guidance of expert faculty & industry advisors, they create floor plans, renderings, timelines and budgets for a healthcare project in a fast-paced challenge! Students present their completed work during the PDC Student Challenge for critique by a multi-disciplinary jury, and the winning team is announced!
