ROI OF THE CLINICAL VOICE IN HEALTHCARE DESIGN

Clinical and professional healthcare input and expertise is vital to the design process. Architecture firms may engage client staff, clinical consultants, or internal specialists in the desire to create an informed design that meets the requirements of all stakeholders. However, in reality, user groups are often poorly attended or misunderstood, finding the right clinical advisor may be elusive, and/or hiring fulltime clinicians on staff may be cost prohibitive. What is the return on investment on desired outcomes when the clinical perspective is included in a shared decision-making model? And what are the real risks when it isn’t? Learn the value of different approaches to understanding the intrinsic requirements of your clients, their staff, and patients through a subject- matter expert presentation.
