This DAISY Nurse Leader Award is open to ALL individual nurses who are actively engaged in healthcare design. This includes nurses who consult, assist, advise, or work in creating better spaces for patients and families.
The Nurse must meet one or more of the following criteria:
Demonstrated exceptional ability to collaborate with diverse professionals, including clinicians, design experts, and industry partners, fostering a synergistic approach to healthcare design projects.
Exhibited creativity and innovation in contributing to the design of healthcare spaces or processes, showing a commitment to improving patient outcomes, safety, and overall experience.
Prioritized a user-centered design philosophy, actively seeking and incorporating feedback from patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure that designs meet the practical needs and expectations of end users.
Displayed strong leadership in leading healthcare design projects, by effectively managing resources, timelines, and teams to bring innovative concepts to fruition while maintaining high standards of quality.
Advocated for the integration of evidence-based practices into healthcare design, ensuring that decisions are informed by research, best practices, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes.
Provided evidence of the tangible impact of healthcare design and innovation initiatives on the delivery of care, including improvements in efficiency, patient satisfaction, and overall quality of healthcare services.
